GRADUATE STUDENTS RECEIVE WHITAKER INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP

Two PhD students from the lab (Hallie Thorp and Sophia Bou-Ghannam) received the IIE Whitaker International Fellowship to conduct one year of their thesis research at TWIns in Tokyo, Japan. The fellowship aims to develop professional leaders in biomedical engineering who are not only superb scientists, but who also will advance the profession through an international outlook. Hallie Thorp completed her fellowship from May 2017-18 and Sophia Bou-Ghannam completed her fellowship from December 2017-18.
